How do I book an appointment:

This is a great question! There are a few ways to book an appointment at Stranded Salon. We are a collective on self-employed hairstylists. You can read through our bios and contact one of us directly via phone or text, or if you are social media savvy you can use direct message on any of our salon or personal pages to reach out as well. If you are unsure which one of us will best fit your needs you are welcome to call Camas at the main salon phone number or use the contact submission form found on this site and we will help connect you with the right stylist.

How do I pay for my hair services:

Each hairstylist at Stranded Salon is self-employed so you will pay your hairstylist directly for your hair services. Each of our hairstylists is happy to accept exact change in cash, personal checks, or accept any form of credit or debit card using Square card services. 

If you purchase any haircare products or merchandise during your visit, that will be a separate transaction thru our salon master point-of-sale and Stranded also accepts cash, checks, and any form of debit or credit card.

What products will you be using on my hair?

Stranded Salon is committed to using only the finest products that both support professional salons and hairstylists, and deliver great results. We also believe any product we use should be sustainably sourced and packaged and never harm people or animals or our planet. 

Each hairstyist at Stranded Salon is self-employed and chooses to use a color line that best suits their client needs and the Stranded Salon product philosophy. Currently our styilists have partnerships with Davines, GoldWell, Pulp Riot, and Pravana hair color.

Stranded Salon exclusively offers Davines for your day-to-day hair care and styling. You can learn more about this beautiful product company and their philosophy on our ‘about’ page. 

Parking:

Stranded Salon is located on a quiet edge of downtown Indianapolis on South Meridian Street. Currently there is free and unlimited parking on both sides of South Meridian Street open at all hours of the day. There is also a bike rack out front for our clients on two wheels!

Cancellation/No-show policy:

At Stranded Salon we kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Please know that last minute cancellations or 'no-showing' often leave our team members with large holes in their business hours that could have been offered to other clients. We understand that emergencies happen but we adhere to a two strike rule. If a client continually cancels or no-shows for appointments, any future services will require a credit card or prepayment for booking. 

Children:

Stranded Salon and Mercantile is generally an adults only salon. We love little people but what's most important to us is that Stranded remain a calm and relaxing atmosphere for our clients to enjoy and our stylists to be at their creative best. We are open to cutting children's hair but please know that if the child becomes distressed or uncooperative during the service the stylist will end the haircut and will still charge full price for the service. Please also know that most of our stylists charge their full, same professional rates to cut children's hair as they would an adult.  To learn more about bringing your children to Stranded it is best to talk with your stylist personally to make a plan. 

Refund Policy:

Stranded Salon and Mercantile does not offer refunds on services provided or retail products sold. If you find you are not loving your hair the best thing is to reach out immediately to your stylist and talk with them about changing what you don't love. We want you to feel great about your hair and we would always want to know if something isn't right. We are happy to fix it..this is your hair we're talking about, you have to wear it so we want you to love it! Please contact us within 24 hours if you are not happy with your hair. If ever the issue can not be resolved and a client demands a refund please know this will permanently end the client/salon relationship for any future appointments or services.

If you're not satisfied with any retail product you purchase from Stranded Salon please bring it into the salon within 14 days for an exchange or in-salon credit.
